What is GotLinks.co all about?

GotLinks.co is part of we in the online marketing world call an “affiliate network”. It’s essentially an online business where everyday people can make money online by marketing.

How Do You Make Money?

With GotLinks.co the idea is to do something that’s called “Link Locking”. In short, you find some interesting content online that you think others would want to access. You then create a page which links to that content, only you lock the page and require that the person viewing it interact with an advertisement before moving on to your content. Once they do that, you make anywhere from approximately $1.00 all the way up to $30.00 depending on which advertisement they interact with. This money gets deposited into your account within moments of being generated and through your account settings you specify how you would like to be paid (Paypal, Wire, ACH, Payoneer etc). GotLinks.co detect mobile smartphone traffic, tablet traffic and regular desktop traffic then shows the appropriate ads for each so you’re covered no matter what platform your visitor is using. GotLinks.co has ads available for nearly every country in the world so regardless of where you’re from or who you’re sharing content with, GotLinks.co will be working to make you money.

How Do I Get Started?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

Step 1: You need to find your content. It has to be something that you think other people might be interested in. This can be a photo, a video, a news article, a piece of software or anything else that might catch someone’s eye and be interesting enough to them that they would be willing to take a minute out to interact with an ad.

Step 2: Once you’ve found your content and have the link to it, you need to create a “Link Locker”. To do this, you log into your GotLinks.co account and from the menu on your left hand side, you select “LOCKERS”, underneath that you’ll see “Link Lockers” and you will want to click on that tab. Finally, you’ll see two options “Create” and “Manage”, you’ll want to click on “Create”.

The following image should help demonstrate what you need to do (Remember: the goal is to click on “Create”)

The next page should look like this

This page asks you for some details. The first field requires that you name the page you’re working with. Let’s assume that your link is to a video on a celebrity and it’s called “Hollywood Exclusive”, you would put that in the page title field. Your name might be something different like “Cute Puppy”, “New Song By ABC” or whatever else you have for content. That’s completely ok, use whichever title makes sense.

The next field is for your own reference purposes, you’ll want to name the Link Locker so you can remember it. Use any name there. Then we have the field that says “URL to Lock”, this is where you will paste the link to your content. Underneath, you’ll want to check off the box that says “Display Offers after the download/access button is clicked”

For “Unlocking Instructions” you can use the example text provided or your own. The idea is that you’re telling the user that they need to successfully interact with an advertisement before proceeding to their content. The messaging is important since the right wording instills confidence in your visitor so feel free to use the default message in the beginning.

Lastly, you’ll be asked if you’re running adult traffic. If your link goes to adult related content, you must say yes. You can still use it to make money on GotLinks.co but we need to know in advance so that we show the appropriate advertisements. Please make sure to double check on this step as using adult content or traffic but selecting “regular traffic” is a major violation of our terms of service and will result in GotLinks.co taking action. If you’re not using adult content or traffic, just click regular and move on.

Before creating, you have the opportunity to polish up the look and feel of your page. A page that looks good and matches the content you’re linking to will generate exponentially more revenue than a basic looking page.

To customize the look and feel of your page, click on one of the tabs at the top of the page.

When you’re done, you’ll need to check off the box that says “I agree to the Terms Of Service” after reading them.

Finally, you’ll need to click on “create and preview locker”

Once you’re comfortable with the way it looks, you’re ready for your final step! If you ever need to make changes, you can always use the menu on the left hand side to select “Manage” under “Link Lockers” instead of choosing “Create” like you did earlier.

*Remember, you can create as many lockers as you like. In fact, the often have dozens to hundreds of different lockers as more lockers can help you target a bigger audience.

Step 3: Promote!

The final step calls for you to take the link to your “Link Locker” page and promote it so that people visit your page. This can be done through any number of ways. Some of the more popular methods are

• Sharing the link through Social Media
• Sharing the link via e-mail
• Adding the link to a blog
• Adding the link to your website
• Creating a youtube video that talks about your content then requires people to click to get the “Full content”. You can pop click boxes within your youtube video.

Of course, you can employ any number of methods here. Its also highly suggested that you perform research in our “marketplace” and “chat” to learn from other members who might be able to help you out. Remember, the more enticing your promotion is, the more money you’ll make so find something that people will really find interesting and want to get their hands on.
